2025 Ping-Pong Winter League Finals: Who Took Home the Championship Titles?

The final week of the league generated great excitement and excellent matches in all divisions played. More than 30 players played during 6 weeks in singles competition in the following Divisions: Seniors, Adults and Youth.


Here is a summary of the final matches and highlights of the finals. Let's get started!


Seniors Division:

For the finals in the Seniors Open Division, players played in a double elimination format to decide the champion of the Ping Pong League. All players showcased their exceptional skills, delivering powerful shots and impressive defensive & offensive moves.


Ultimately, Azad Akm secured the top spot in the Seniors Open Division as the GOAT. Lance Rosemore took 2nd place, while Bill Witten came in 3rd. Randy Moon claimed the 4th position.


In Division B, Miki Snell secured 1st place, Paul Baker came in 2nd, Bob Corson took 3rd, and Forrest Michals finished in 4th place.


Adults Division:

In the Adults Open Division, there were 2 groups. Mark Chen emerged as the league champion in the Adults Open Division, with Ley Mech coming in 2nd, Justin Johnson in 3rd, and Sajan Dhakal in 4th place.


Division B saw Jonathan Kim take the top spot, with Rohan Yellapragada coming in 2nd. Henry Castillo secured 3rd place, while Anir Joshi claimed 4th place.


Youth Division:

In the Youth Open Division, Ishan Saluja claimed the top position, with Divyesh Majumdar taking 2nd place, Peter Varimezov securing 3rd place, and Darwin Mech finishing in 4th place.


In Division B, Vihaan Saluja secured 1st place, Aamna Periagaram came in 2nd, and Karthik Govula finished in 3rd.


Most Improved Tomy Ignatius

All players demonstrated significant improvement week after week as the result of their participation in the league.


After observing all the matches and players during the 6-week league competition, Pong On Wheels decided to award Tomy the title of "Most Improved Player - M.I.P." for the 2025 Winter Ping Pong League. This special recognition emphasized Tomy as the most outstanding and improved player among all the participants. Congratulations, Tomy!


"The Pong On Wheels ping pong league in North Texas welcomes players of all ages and skill levels, offering a fun, competitive environment. It has gained immense popularity, with players showing significant improvement after six weeks. The exceptional sportsmanship and camaraderie in the recent 2025 Winter Ping Pong League were remarkable," noted Daniel Rutenberg of Pong On Wheels.

This was a friendly, recreational, non-sanctioned table tennis event, where all ages, abilities and skilled players were welcomed to participate!


Once again, we want to THANK YOU very much for your participation in the 2025 Winter Ping Pong League. This event is not possible with the help of our volunteers and many others.
